April 26th: Compliance Round-Table in Manama

The clock is ticking – Are you CRS ready?

Dear Professional,

IMTF cordially invites you to participate in this exclusive event to share best practices on how to meet the CRS requirements rapidly and cost-effectively

At this invite-only mid-afternoon event, we will discuss how to implement the AEOI (CRS), in the most efficient and cost-effective way, while improving existing processes such as onboarding and client lifecycle management. Following the successful introduction of the FATCA regulation in 2014, it was a question of time, before a global initiative would be in the works. Indeed the Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) declaration was drafted as an outcome of the 2014 G20 meeting.

The initiative is also referenced as Common Reporting Standard (CRS) due its provision to adopt a single cross-country reporting template for tax matters. More than 100 countries, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Lebanon, and India, already committed to this new standard.  Implementation will spread across two “waves” in 2017 (early adopters) and 2018 for remaining jurisdictions.

Compared to FATCA, the OECD CRS requirements bring a significant additional level of complexity in the identification and reporting processes and make the simple reuse of existing internal developments or legacy FATCA solutions virtually impossible.

Join us on April 26th at this exclusive mid-afternoon event to hear insights from bankers, compliance specialists, and FinTech. This event is free of charge,  takes place at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain, in Manama and will be followed by a networking dinner.

Places at this event being limited, we invite you to register before April 24th in order to save your seat.

We look forward to seeing you at this unique event! Best regards,
